What does “STEM preschool” mean at A Learning Bee Academy?

STEM at A Learning Bee Academy means meeting children where they naturally are—curious, hands-on learners. Children learn through building, asking questions, and using their hands to find answers, focusing on mastering concepts rather than memorizing them. STEM also introduces children to real-world topics and early exposure to future careers, helping prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

What are drop-off and pick-up procedures?

Families use the Brightwheel app to check their child in and out each day. Simply scan at the front door using the app when you arrive for drop-off and again at pick-up. This process helps us ensure secure, accurate attendance and a smooth start and end to your child’s day.

What happens with weather/emergency closures?

In the event of a weather-related or emergency closure, we will notify families through Brightwheel , our parent communication platform. We also follow WTHR weather closure guidelines , and will announce any schedule changes as soon as decisions are made.

Are you open year-round? What holidays/closures do you observe?

Yes, we are open year-round with closures in observance of the following holidays New Year's Day Martin Luther King Jr. Day Presidents' Day Good Friday Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Friday after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve Christmas Day All holidays that fall on the weekend (Saturday/Sunday) will be observed in accordance with national observance.
